Book Summary

John Green's The Fault in Our Stars meets Rainbow Rowell's Eleanor & Park in this darkly funny novel from the critically acclaimed author of The Beginning of Everything.

Up until his diagnosis, Lane lived a fairly predictable life. But when he finds himself at a tuberculosis sanatorium called Latham House, he discovers an insular world with paradoxical rules, med sensors, and an eccentric yet utterly compelling confidante named Sadie—and life as Lane knows it will never be the same.

Robyn Schneider's Extraordinary Means is a heart-wrenching yet ultimately hopeful story about the miracles of first love and second chances.

The book itself seems very The fault in our stars-esque but I can say that it is not like that at all and I learned so much not only about life and love but also about myself. The book encourages self reflection which is refreshing and something I loved. The summary can come off as a little cliché to some people but I encourage you to just try it out because the book isn't cliche and it is so much deeper and so much more fulfilling than the summary makes it out to be. I don't think even the most talented summary writer in the world could write a summary that actually sums up this book. But nonetheless the book is amazing, fantastic, astounding, and I finished it in one day because I couldn't put it down. Definitely recommend!!!!!!
